Computer Market Research has launched a web-based module for channel partners to manage their multi-vendor marketing funds
Del Heles, President of CMR, shared his excitement for the new module. “We’ve been helping vendors manage their Co-op and MDF programs for years, so the processes themselves are nothing new to us. Now we have a module, Multi-Vendor Marketing Funds Management, built specifically for channel partners” stated Heles.
Benefits of Computer Market Research’s Multi-Vendor Marketing Funds Management Module
“One of the primary benefits of our new solution is that users can track their multi-vendor marketing funds from a single web-based platform, rather than tracking them on numerous spreadsheets. I’m confident that this solution will help channel partners take full advantage of the marketing funds being made available to them, resulting in increased revenue,” concluded Heles.
The decision to build this module came after industry research revealed that nearly 50% of available marketing funds go unused by channel partners. Vendors offer Co-op advertising dollars and market development funds (MDF) to their indirect sales channel. Vendors tend to make these funds available to help channel partners sell more products and create brand awareness. The majority of channel partners have large networks of vendors, most of which offer Co-op dollars or MDF. However, having so many vendors makes it difficult for channel partners to manage their funds. Marketing funds from multiple vendors have resulted in some of the funds to be left unused by partners.
Prior to the Multi-Vendor Co-op/MDF Management solution, CMR’s channel management modules were built to specifically help vendors who sell through the channel. These modules include Channel POS, Channel Inventory, Deal Registration, Co-op/MDF, Reseller Profile, and Channel Rebate Management. The standard set-up fee for these modules varies based on the amount of custom development required.
