The key feature of Partner Portal is its ability to be configured entirely by the client. Prior to PartnerPortal, modifications to a channel module required custom programming by developers. PartnerPortal allows clients themselves to manage and create their own programs in a matter of minutes, as supposed to days or even weeks. PartnerPortal is also designed so that clients can easily modify the look and feel of their partner interface.
CEO of Computer Market Research, Del Heles, sees client configure ability as a major improvement to channel productivity. “Vendors now have the ability to quickly define user and security roles within their channel and customize their own forms, among other things. The initial release of PartnerPortal will feature CMR’s Co-op/MDF Management module. This particular module helps vendors to manage trade promotion marketing with their channel partners. For new clients, PartnerPortal will allow seamless integration into their existing portal using single sign-on (SSO), a session authentication process that permits a user to access multiple applications.
